Self-Declared Required Training

The North Dakota Department of Human Services requires basic training for all individuals who wish to work as a self-declared child care provider. This training must be completed before an individual can receive a Self-Declaration Document.

Self-Declared Required Training is comprised of three topics totaling 4.5 clock hours.
- Topic 1: Healthy Practices and Policies
- Topic 2: Safe Practices and Policies
- Topic 3: Illness Prevention and Management

Training Delivery Options

  • Easy Reach Online Training

    This option offers convenient 24/7 access to training. Review this how-to-guide and log-on to the Child Care Aware® of North Dakota Training Center to launch this online option.

  • Training Delived on DVD

    This option delivers course content via DVD for those without internet access. Course materials and reviews are delivered and returned by mail. Successful completion of the course is determined after materials have been returned and reviewed. Contact your local Child Care Aware® office to order materials.
