Child Care Providers Play a Key Role in a Child's Health

Good nutrition and daily physical activity can improve children’s behavior, academics, sleep patterns and overall health. ChildcareAlive! uses fun and engaging activities to teach children positive messages about healthy foods and active play. This exciting program includes entertaining lessons for children, helpful tips and recipes for parents, and valuable resources for providers and teachers.

What Are On-Site Activities?

Entertaining, engaging, and educational. We come to child care programs and preschools with an interactive lesson every two weeks over a 10 week time frame. Each activity includes a 30-minute interactive lesson, a parent newsletter, and a provider tip-sheet. Providers/teachers will choose from a variety of lesson topics, including "Trying New Foods"," Vary Your Veggies", and "Fun with Fitness". (All activities are led at the child care program or preschool by a registered dietitian.)
