Encourage social interaction and creative play through multi-cultural experiences
Join Ms. T on a journey full of songs, dances and stories. Participants take an imaginary voyage to the seashore and a Caribbean market place while exploring props and costumes which bring songs and dances from the Caribbean to life. Whether used as part of a multicultural unit or to reinforce gross motor, counting, sequencing, verbal or other skills, the experiences presented in this workshop fit beautifully into the early childhood curriculum.
Workshop participants will learn ways to:

• Explore cultures through songs, movement and stories
• Reinforce gross motor, counting, sequencing, expressive language or other skills through multi-cultural experience
• Adapt workshop techniques to explore other cultures

About Our Presenter
Terlene D. Terry-Todd is a Master Teaching Artist for the Wolf Trap Institute for Early Learning through the Arts and founding artistic director for the Reston Institute for the Arts. Terry-Todd has developed creative programs for students of all abilities and disabilities for more than 35 years and has numerous awards for her choreography, contributions to the arts and work with special needs children. In her role of CEO of Ms. T Productions, she presents workshops, master classes, and professional development training workshops for dance education in the United States and internationally.

Participants earn 3 clock hours.
