Workforce Survey Data
In North Dakota, 84% of children under age 6 live with families where
both parents are working, compared to a national average of 66%. It is
essential that parents have quality child care options available. Caregivers
who are sensitive, consistent, well-trained and well-compensated are
the key ingredient for a quality child care center. As child care efforts
focus on increasing the availability of child care for parents, it is
essential to also invest in the stability of the child care workforce. CCR&R surveys all child care centers every 4 years to gather wage and benefit information.
