Communities & Employers Overview
High-quality child care does more than benefit children; it can create positive results for entire families and for communities as a whole. By reaching out to business leaders, law enforcement, school teachers, and others, CCR&R raises the community's awareness about child care issues. CCR&R collaborates with other family support services to promote a holistic vision of child care that includes health, literacy, and special needs. The North Dakota Child Care Resource & Referral Network believes that:
- Every family must have a choice for high quality, affordable and accessible child care.
- Every child must be in a safe, healthy, and developmentally appropriate environment.
- Every family must have access to consumer education on child care choices.
- Every community must have a child care delivery system that includes the coordination of training, supply building, planning and education efforts on child care needs, and professional development and compensation of caregivers which have a direct positive impact on the quality of care.
