QUALITY IMPROVEMENT PROGRAMS

This is a 6 to 9 month comprehensive project that combines environmental assessment with learning activities designed for family and group providers. RFS offers individualized on-site consultation, model teaching, career guidance, and support from a trained child care health consultant. Improvements are demonstrated by higher scores on the environmental rating scale. Incentives include comprehensive resources and equipment to assist in implementing quality improvements.

This 6 to 9 month, on-site program is available to centers that provide care for children in North Dakota under the age of 3. The project includes an environmental assessment, specialized training from the Program for Infant Toddler Caregivers (PITC) curriculum, technical assistance and guidance on new concepts by a trained CCR&R consultant, training and modeling by CCR&R’s child care health consultant and resources to purchase items needed to make improvements.
