Policies are not enforceable by a court. Policies are the rules and behaviors that deal with how the provider cares for children. Policies should protect the health and safety of the children. Do not just hand parents your policies and expect they will read them. Review all policies with parents to make certain they understand that policy. Point out which policies may be negotiable. Do not compromise on those that are not negotiable. You can change policies or add new ones at any time but be courteous and inform the parents before you do so.
